(a) On 10/07/25, the section Hospitalisation for diabetes was amended for accuracy and clarity. Previously the text stated that 14% of diabetes hospitalisations were for gestational diabetes, but this was the proportion due to diabetes in pregnancy. The correct figure for gestational diabetes is 8%. Additional detail was added on diabetes hospitalisations during pregnancy, and text adjusted to clarify when diabetes during pregnancy was excluded from the statistics. The 5th Key Message was also adjusted accordingly.
(b) Survey has now ceased, so no further updates will be published.
(c) Data for Indigenous Australians sourced from the NATSIHS, with non-Indigenous comparisons based on the NHS.
